Deep Trekker’s solution is the SPECTRA Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV), configured for submerged infrastructure inspection using real-time 3D sonar SLAM and stereo camera capabilities. SPECTRA enables inspection of submerged lock structures without dewatering by combining high-current ROV control, live 3D spatial reconstruction, high-resolution visual imaging, and practical field deployment. Operators can navigate complex lock environments, inspect walls, floors, sills, gates, valves, joints, debris, and areas of deterioration, while collecting video, still imagery, 3D sonar point clouds, sonar reconstruction, telemetry, and operator observations. SPECTRA is a new Deep Trekker platform with three units built to date, backed by over 15 years of commercial ROV deployment experience and prior USACE/ERDC-relevant inspection use.
