SkyTL

Abstract

Our solution proposes two interoperable ATAK plugins for managing large-scale public events by integrating real-time data from UAS, IoT devices, and vehicles: AirTL and SkyTL. Operating within a flexible mixed local/cloud architecture, the solution enhances situational awareness and decision-making.AirTL offers 3D airspace management, allowing operators to draw no-fly zones, desired operating areas or waypoints, and providing dynamic route planning, operating volume generation, and dynamic volume deconfliction. The solution also leverages RemoteID and ADS-B receivers, LiDARs and cameras to detect and warn users of intrusive UAS. On the other hand, SkyTL leverages a Large Language Model (LLM) and computer vision to dynamically respond to user inputs on video feeds, performing specialized tasks like person detection, vehicle tracking, and damage assessment. Together, these plugins enableadvanced data analytics and coordination across TAK devices, significantly improving operational efficiency, reducing response times, and ensuring regulatory compliance for effective public safety management.
